Are we alone in this room?

The question it's not anymore if we are alone in the universe, but who else is occupying the space between these walls? If we cannot see something or someone with our eyes or ear it with our ears and so on and so forth, does that warrant the assumption that they do not exist? Hmm, I wonder.....
